Education Director Jobs

We are looking for an Education Director who will help to ensure our goal - to provide the highest quality of early childhood education using theories from creative and high-scope educational models

The mission of Little Scholars is to ensure comprehensive development for each child and careful monitoring of all students during active learning, valuing diversity and individual needs.

We need a professional who will not just follow our progressive curriculum. But someone, who shows interest in work and a gentle approach to children, provides care so that parents are sure that their children are in a favourable environment.

In your day-by-day activities, you will work on:

- Staffing management and developing, enhancing their knowledge and skills in early childhood education

- Planing and coordinating educational programs and activities, including daily schedules, special events, and parent involvement opportunities

- Evaluating program effectiveness, monitor outcomes, and make adjustments as needed

- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards pertaining to early childhood education and daycare centres

- Fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians, maintaining open lines of communication regarding the daycare's educational programs, children's progress, and opportunities for parental involvement

Required qualifications:

- Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Students with Disabilities (B-2)

- At least of 2 years of previous teaching experience at a licensed daycare/public school

- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education Principles

- Experience and expertise in providing professional development and training to early childhood educators

- Good knowledge of state and federal regulations and licensing requirements for daycare centres

- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents or guardians, including effective communication about educational programs, children's progress, and parent involvement opportunities

- Experience in budgeting and managing educational resources effectively, including materials, supplies, and technology, within the available funding

- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

- Teaching Certification Birth-Second Grade

Preferred qualifications:

- Additional knowledge of other languages

Schedule:

• 8 am - 4 pm
• 8 working hours per day
• 5 working days per week
