Job Description


LaSalle Network is partnering with one of the country's best known service brands to hire a Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Director of DEI will be primarily responsible for developing, executing and assessing the organization's diversity, equity and inclusion strategies to drive equitable and inclusive processes and behaviors, enabling improved results for all.


Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Responsibilities:


  • Act as a resource for associates with regards to concerns, observations or allegations; assess and determine appropriate steps in partnership with People Business Partners and Associate Relations
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Senior Leadership Team, Belron, People Business Partners, COE leads, Business Leaders, Community Engagement, Communications, Social, Legal, as well as other external partners and vendors
  • Lead, inspire and manage the DEI team including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, development and succession planning
  • Provide leadership and coaching to senior leaders to enhance their knowledge, application and capability within DEI
  • Create and execute DEI strategies that are appropriate for the business and our associates; translate strategies into tactical plans with clear goals, actions, resources, budget and accountability
  • Act as DEI subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, taking a balanced consultative approach
  • Prepare and share quarterly reports on the progress and impact of the initiatives
  • Keep current on diversity best practices, programs and developments through external relationships; stay current on emerging issues and trends in DEI work and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Develop measures and metrics for assessing the effectiveness of diversity initiatives; evaluate programs consistently and make adjustments as needed


Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience in creating and leading DEI initiatives and programs that are appropriate for the business and associates
  • Must be self-initiating, exercise good judgment and be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated effectiveness managing diverse stakeholders including but not limited to executives, employee groups, external vendors and consultants
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills required
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Strong communication skills, including demonstrated facilitation skills and consultative and collaboration skills with the ability to recommend and influence
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business or related disciplines
  • Well-versed in human resources and/or talent programs or consulting within the DEI space
