Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Clinic Operations provides administrative oversight and assistance to the operational supervisor in the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Clinic Operations including the development of appropriate operational policies and procedures, standards of work, job description, and onboarding processes. This role includes personnel oversight, providing on- going Quality Improvement monitors, ensuring current standards are met and ensuring that the skills and educational needs of the staff are met. The Director is responsible for the quality of patient care. The Director ensures that safe patient care is provided by qualified, competent, patient care staff to all patients who present to the clinic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational and Administrative Responsibilities
• Provides Administrative oversight to the daily operations of the clinic
• Supervise daily operations of clinical supervisors and direct reports
• Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures, standards of work, job descriptions and onboarding orientation plans for all operational and clinical staff

• Ensures standards of patient care through QA monitors
• Understands and works toward meeting current regulatory standards
• Anticipates physician needs
• Addresses problems involving personnel, medical staff, patient, families and the general public
• Ensure compliance of office with OSHA, bloodborne pathogens, HIPAA, Medicare regulations
• Develop and lead change control, forms committees and shared governance committees along with any operational and clinical quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensures smooth daily operations and steady progress towards established clinic goals
• Plans and operates within the approved budget
• Responsible for cost effective programs
• Identifies problems and communicates solutions to appropriate personnel
• Provides monthly, quarterly and ad hoc operational reporting to the Executive Director
• Supports the Executive Director in achieving operational and business development needs of the clinic and providers.
Staff / Customer Management
• Oversees the process of Interviewing, hiring and training a productive clinic office team
• Conduct performance reviews, provide for personal development of staff, and encourage retention
• Holds ultimate responsibility for all IT&S operations including EHR success and management.
• Promote excellent customer service
• Responsible for reviewing all internal and external patient reviews, addressing all patient concerns identified and creating action plans for long-term patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Education and/or experience: Graduate from a four-year college or university required in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or related field required.
• Master’s in business administration with an emphasis on healthcare administration preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, priority setting and analytical skills.
• Minimum of three years comprehensive experience in medical practice environment, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred Skillsets:
• Management/Leadership experience in ambulatory orthopedic clinic environment
• Supervisory skills, strong training skills and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
• Ability to work with accounting concepts and develop budget(s)
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Must have a mature and professional demeanor as well as possess mastery in customer service
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to work effectively under stress and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
