The Headlines :

In the role of Marketing Director you will be part of the Coors Spirits Company. You will own the Coors Spirits Co brands P&L, overall brand strategy and positioning for the portfolio and expanding the portfolio. Additionally, you will manage one of the portfolio brands, ensuring the strategic integrity within total brand portfolio, and within the spirits category. Responsible for delivery against brand's strategic, volumetric, and financial goals annually as well as the long-term ability to meet three-year brand equity targets. You will lead and direct external and internal resources through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent. You will be responsible for integration into broader organization. ensuring integrity of marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution links highly with brand positioning, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions

This position will report to the VP of Full Strength Spirits

The Responsibilities:
  • Own brand P&L
  • Own brand P&L ensuring it delivers on Coors Spirits Company business objectives
  • People Management: Attracts, leads & manages team to deliver against all business targets & develop superior talent
  • Strategy: Define strategic direction and implementation for Coors Spirits Company portfolio based upon deep category knowledge, thoughtful consumer insights, and competitive market analysis that translate into sustainable commercial success
  • Brand spend will go from $4M in year 1 to $7M+ in year 3. Budget is small but requires more hands on work because you can't leverage agencies to build strategies and consolidate cross agency plans
  • Lead responsibility for one of the Coors Spirits Company brands (Blue Run while CWC brands will be led by Brand Manager)
  • Work with MCBC CCOE's to leverage consumer and category insights applicable to Coors Spirits Company
  • Engagement with key retailers and distributors to sell in marketing strategy and programming and gain insights for future product development and portfolio evolution
  • Lead brand planning process & AOP for Coors Spirits Company
  • Lead roster of agencies to ensure cost effective, high impact, and category relevant work
  • Own all spirits and activity across Coors Spirits Company from strategic platforms to ideation through development & commercialization with a primary emphasis on improving brand equity, volume and margin

The Other Qualifications:
  • Strong people management skills & communication skills
  • Experience developing brand strategies
  • At least 7 years of related work experience in CPG marketing
  • Results-oriented and leads change
  • Bachelor degree in business / marketing; MBA or related graduate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of spirits categories, general production process, and product attributes
  • Leadership: Track record of working effectively as a business leader to champion initiatives, lead teams and agency partners, and manage and develop high performing teams
  • CPG Marketing and Brand Building: Brand management experience with strong business acumen and enterprise mindset

Job Posting Grade: 14
Job Posting Salary Range: (Colorado) $149,000 - $214,100
