Business Overview


CIB provides capital markets, securities services, financing, treasury and advisory solutions. The Bank’s services are provided via three core business lines: Global Markets, Securities Services and Global Banking. CIB Americas is a multi-billion-dollar platform spanning North and South America, headquartered in New York, with major hubs across the US, Canada and Latin America.


The role is to support CIB Americas Vice Chairman, based in New York.

Responsibilities:


Support the Vice Chairman in preparation for Internal leadership engagements including Town Halls, CIB internal events, BNPP Senior management meetings


Define communication strategy and Content with the Vice Chairman for each type of speaking engagement


Work with key stakeholders to collect relevant data (e.g. analysis, presentations and documents) as background material for the Vice Chairman


Review materials and work with stakeholders and subject matter experts on key points of information to effectively debrief the Vice Chairman and to ensure the Vice Chairman has all relevant and key information


Prepare speaking points or if speaking points are prepared by key stakeholders overlay the appropriate ‘voice’ of the Vice Chairman


Debrief each engagement to ensure a cycle of continuous improvement in developing speaking points and content.


Support the Vice Chairman in Media engagements


Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications and Media Relations to develop the annual communications strategy/plan including developing editorial by-lines and key content and messaging


Actively participate with the Head of Marketing and Communications and Media Relations to define appropriate media outlets to host BNPP’s Vice Chairman


Work with Media Relations and any subject matter experts necessary to co-create content and speaking points for specific media requests/invitations


Organize meetings with key content owners and Media Relations to prepare and rehearse media engagements as necessary


Provide strategic and tactical support for Executive Client sponsorship:


The Vice Chairman will act as an Executive Sponsor for key Clients:


Assist the client relationship manager/banker in documenting the strategic client roadmap


Collect and review client meeting materials for the purpose of debriefing the Vice Chairman


Steer the preparation for client meetings (creation of speaking points, market color or trends, product highlights etc)


Work with the Executive Assistant to ensure adequate logistics for client meetings (cars, meeting rooms, flights, reservations etc)


Debrief client meetings to record and monitor action items from the Business Lines.


Provide Support for the preparation and running of the IHC Board Meeting and Committees


Work closely with the Company Secretary’s office to prepare for the IHC Board or Committees


Develop/review agendas and coordinate materials development


Create / analyze documents /provide recommendations


Provide Business Management support:


Oversee preparation of annual budget for the Office of the Vice Chairman


Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably working in a global Investment Bank.
  • Exceptional communication skills including business writing
  • Understand and summarize complex and/or technical issues
  • Represent the viewpoint of the Americas region when dealing with all levels of management, locally and globally - ability to work effectively cross-border
  • Interact and Coordinate with senior management with gravitas and poise
  • Knowledge of the BNP Paribas group and Americas organization and management
  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder management and influencing skills

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $200,000 to $275,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
