MetLife Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) helps institutional customers create a more secure financial future for themselves and their key stakeholders. Role Value Proposition:


The RIS Marketing Team is a key partner to the RIS business and charged with defining and activating customer-focused marketing strategies that build awareness of our leadership in the retirement space, strengthen engagement with Plan Sponsors and Intermediaries around the value we deliver, and drive market demand for our products.


In that spirit, the Marketing Consultant II plays a critical role with delivering a consistent and seamless experience across both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels for specific lines of business in RIS. This requires effectively helping to bring together web, email, media/social channels in a strategic way that meets Plan Sponsors, Intermediaries, and other stakeholders wherever they seek to engage with us. To ensure we drive consistency and on-going improvement, this role is also tasked with defining standards and best practices within these channels for the larger RIS Marketing team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Production and development of strategic marketing materials within budgets and timelines, including presentations, one-sheets, emails, brochures, infographics, videos, and direct mailing pieces.
  • Manage external agencies on content development and production within timing and budget. Review content, ensuring it meets the brief, is optimized per platform, & aligns with brand & business goals.
  • Partner with RIS Customer Marketing Team, PR & Comms Team, and the Business Teams to define editorial strategy for web and email efforts for Stable Value and US Pensions businesses.
  • Serve as budget lead of internal department annual/monthly budgetary process, includes management of monthly forecasts, accruals, and reconciliation with finance.
  • Champion and administer RIS email governance and email platform management, including the identification and integration of new email capabilities that improve production and performance.
  • Delivery of end-to-end RIS marketing email programs – strategic alignment to business objectives, campaign planning and end to end execution.
  • Efficient tracking of all marketing materials, ensuring upkeep with compliance and legal submissions/requirements for business collateral.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


Required:


  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Accomplished process manager that can simplify complex topics and train other team members (as required) to ensure output and delivery.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial/Budget management experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands on usage of social media, email, and other leading-edge tech platforms and programs that enable the publishing, deployment, and measurement of digital programs.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills (both written and verbal) and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Success in and fostering strong, working partnerships across several functions.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, comfortable working autonomously, enjoys continuously learning and building new business and technical skills.


Preferred:


  • Understanding of ADA requirements for all digital output.
  • Ability to manage end to end video production process of videos created via agency partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Project management skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking and decisiveness
  • Use of Miro or other visualization tools.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in email marketing campaign execution in Marketo and/or Acoustic.

The wage range for applicants for this position is $70,200 - $93,600. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
