Job Description

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis, product analysis, digital industry and customer research to create and optimize the customer experience. Partner with cross-functional teams to define, implement and launch market-leading, customer-centric products or programs.
  • Maintains expertise on products and technologies through training and research and uses that training to drive and/or implement best practices and foster continuous improvement.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support strategic priorities.
  • Under minimal supervision, this position plans and executes digital product strategy, technology/product development, technology and/or product support and/or customer engagement strategies in support of the company’s product and service portfolio.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong ability to understand business and customer needs, customer/user experience management, product analysis and technology capabilities.
  • Directly related experience may offset degree requirements.
  • Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
  • Strong collaboration, communications and analytical skills.
  • Five (5) years experience in a digital marketing or digital product management environment or demonstrated knowledge gained through coursework or work experience in digital product marketing, management, or technology support.
  • Technical acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, finance, computer science, engineering or related business discipline.
Specific Job Responsibilities
The FedEx Visibility Portfolio of products enable global commerce by creating effortless digital experiences that empower customers to proactively manage the successful delivery of their packages. FedEx is looking for a Digital Notifications Advisor that will be responsible for the shipment notifications strategy and driving the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) vision and plan for the portfolio. The selected individual will support the Notification and Visibility teams and provide the leadership needed to plan and execute new experiences leveraging AEM and empowering customers to self-serve. Focus areas for the role include:
  • Tracking/Notifications AEM Strategy for transactional verbiage – Critical for implementation of humanized tone/language and preventing hard-coding in the applications.
  • Notifications Redesign with AEM components – Provides flexibility in notifications content and design while delivering experiences based on customer research.
  • Notifications Product Strategy – Creates the Notification vision that provides customers the right content at the right time in the right channel and enables them to self-serve.
  • Optimizely ENS Integration & Notification Experiments – Enables test & learn capabilities with Optimizely across all notification channels.
This position is part of a digital product management organization responsible for designing and managing technology channels within FedEx. Cross-functional collaboration with the Digital User Experience team, IT, and ARTs is required and essential to the success of this role. It is a critical position to the corporation supporting DRIVE initiatives.

  • Project Management: Able to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, in order to ensure product features are launched on time.
  • Business Savvy: Able to navigate opportunities and challenges to maintain project progress and accomplish project goals while working through others.
  • Technical Aptitude: Have the ability to understand technical capabilities and comfortably dialogue with technical experts to determine how to best meet customer needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Utilize AEM for content updates affecting the notifications and applications.
  • Lead regular cross functional product meetings to get alignment needed to prioritize investments.
  • Translate customer needs into product features.
  • Develop and communicate product metrics needed to measure performance and ROI.
  • Partner with key groups to conduct industry, competitive, user experience research needed to build an actionable product strategy and roadmap.
  • Build the fact-based business justification needed to justify product investments.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on key corporate initiatives as needed.
  • Obtain cross-functional support for the product roadmap.
  • Coordinate with the ARTs to deliver customer value and enhancements.
Knowledge / Skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with specific ability to translate into a solid business case
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

Abilities Considered a Plus
  • Digital User Design and/or Design Thinking experience
  • Experience with SAFe Agile development
  • QDM or Six Sigma
  • Tableau, Azure, and SQL knowledge to conduct the required analysis of the team/customer/segment needs.
  • Extensive working knowledge of AEM
  • Experience in leading the development of digital solutions from strategy through to execution

Additional InformationSalary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $5,962.43 - $12,048.08. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
