What is a Manager, Digital Communications?
The Manager, Digital Communications role is responsible for planning and implementing digital communication strategies to support all company initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Digital Communications, this individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring the communication strategies and channel enhancements. This role will optimize customer messaging in order to grow and retain customers while driving awareness and conversion.
A Day in the Life of a Manager, Digital Communications?
- Observe and identify industry trends to strengthen the digital communications program’s presence and relevancy
- Develop, organize, and implement the digital communication calendar, including campaigns and building customer journeys
- Ownership of roadmap projects and channel enhancements, from planning to execution. This includes but not limited to: enabling customer journeys, optimizing content, and tech enhancements
- Support business objectives with strategic recommendations including: multi-channel messaging, customer journey messaging, dynamic content
- Regularly analyze reports, and recommend opportunities and future initiatives based on results
- Collaborate cross-functionally including but not limited to: other members of the digital marketing team, in-house creative services team, partnerships team, in-house IT team, and external vendors to continuously evolve the digital communications program
- Manage the communication strategy for multiple digital channels including emails and push notifications, from strategy, planning, concept, setup, QA, and deployment
What You Need to Have:
- Must be a highly detail-oriented and well-organized strategic thinker and hands-on executor.
- Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, communications, public relations, or other related fields.
- 5+ years of related experience on a corporate or agency team in digital marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Ability to work in a high output, fast-paced environment in conjunction with multiple teams on tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, writing and project management experience.
- Experience working with marketing or email automation applications and content management systems. Skills include: segmentation, template and journey building, conditional logic, reporting
Preferred Requirements
- Martech experience with CDP, data, and API a plus
- Masters or MBA a plus
