This position assists in the development and deployment of Worley’s communications strategies to inform and engage key internal and external audiences in our I&DD and Finance organizations.
Reporting directly to the Group Director of Corporate Communications, Worley, the candidate will influence key leaders in support of business initiatives, empower leaders to accelerate engagement of our people, and enhance the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
The scope of activity includes: communications strategy development and deployment coordination; executive leader support; communications planning; key message development; development of communications materials; communications support for change programs, training programs and measurement. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience and success in reputation brand management and be able to manage crisis situations and potential issues. The candidate will also have responsibility for coaching and developing team talent within the Corporate Communications team.
Key internal stakeholders for this position are: Group Director, Corporate Communications; Corporate Communications Leadership Team and the broader team; President, Iⅅ I&DD leadership team and their direct reports; I&DD leaders; indirect I&DD project communicators; Assurance & Project Delivery communicator; Chief Financial Officer (CFO); Deputy CFO; CFO leadership team and direct reports; Finance leaders; Investor Relations, Marketing and Corporate Affairs. They expect an aligned and robust communications strategy, counsel, and exceptional tactical implementation.
The candidate must exercise considerable discretion about information communicated and handle serious and sensitive subjects with tact, excellent judgment, and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will join the I&DD leadership team, the Finance leadership team, and the Corporate Communications leadership team.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of communication including employee communication, stakeholder engagement, and leverage external opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of corporate internal and external communications strategies that serve to support I&DD and Finance’ global functional agenda.
- Serve as the primary communications partner to the President of I&DD and the CFO. Both are C-level and sit on Worley’s group executive leadership team.
- Develop personalized strategies and tactics that enhance their leadership i.e., thought leadership opportunities, engagement activity, speechwriting and talking points, presentations, and creative visual storytelling.
- Develop and create organizational key messages, Q&A, presentations, position statements, videos, visual communications, and other materials that help to embed and reinforce Worley’s culture, the strategic direction, and priority initiatives.
- Partner with the Corporate Affairs team to manage crisis events and issues that could potentially impact Worley’s brand reputation and the reputation of its sub-brands.
- Create and manage employee communications that help build alignment and consistency of voice and influence leaders in the adoption of key communications strategies and initiatives to drive business results.
- Align closely with the Communications Director for Assurance and Project Delivery to ensure consistency of message and support globally and minimize duplication of work.
- Leverage knowledge of communications, the external landscape, and the employee mindset, to advise and assist the Group Director, Corporate Communications decision-making.
- Be an ambassador for Worley and for change and maximize the potential of change management by leading, coaching and inspiring team members to consistently deliver excellent service and continuously improve.
- Deliver training programs where necessary.
- Develop existing and introduce new mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of communications.
- Actively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify communication opportunities and foster collaboration and mutual support across Worley.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills of direct and indirect communications reports across the region, nurturing a pipeline of talent and maximizing capability to achieve the team’s objectives.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism
- 15+ years of related experience working with a large, global organization in corporate communications, with an emphasis on internal communications and C-level executive communications
- Proven experience in strategic content development (e.g., writing long- and short-form communications, message frameworks/mapping, speech writing, presentations, etc.)
- Proven experience leading the development and execution of strategic meetings, including town halls and other events for large, global audiences
- People management experience is preferred, including developing talent
- Creative platform experience a plus (Canva, Adobe, Video Editing, etc.)
