Desktop Support


6-month contract-to-hire | Onsite in Draper, Utah

Our banking client is looking for a dynamic Desktop IT Support Analyst – Desktop for their Draper, UT office. This is slated as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity; during the contract piece will be working onsite five days per week and benefits include Medical, Dental Plan, Vision Plan and ancillary accident insurance. Upon conversion, will become a hybrid (onsite/remote) position with a full suite of excellent benefits including generous paid time off, 6+ weeks in the first year alone and paid-in-full online degree programs!



Required experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Mac support in addition to more advanced level Windows support
  • Understanding of Active Directory, security groups and best practices
  • Network printer support experience
  • At least an associate degree in information science or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in email and user administration
  • Desktop support expertise in Windows 10 including proficiency with Microsoft endpoints, MS O365, and Virtual workspaces in an enterprise environment



Desired expertise:

  • Technical certifications including A+, Network+ and/or Microsoft Certifications including the MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)
  • Any Cloud experience helpful – they use AWS Workspace and Azure AD
  • SCCM/MECM tools for Windows and 3rd party application management desired
  • Sophos Enterprise solutions desired
  • Citrix Virtual workspace desired



Competencies/Abilities:

  • Proven technical aptitude to include strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (e-mail, chat and telephone conversations) with technical and non-technical clients
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to participate in an on-call schedule to address afterhours issues
