Data Intern Jobs

Arcosa is seeking a Data Intern in our Dallas, TX headquarters. As a Data Intern you will develop processes, reports, services, documentation or scientific applications using broad engineering concepts and research techniques.

Position Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization
• Deliver epics, user stories, mockups, and workflows for new and improving functionality
• Highly energetic with ability to work independently and with minimal direction
• Perform additional ad-hoc data exploration projects
• Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of mentor/supervisor/team member
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain, support, and enhance the business intelligence data backend, including data lakes and data warehouses
• Write TSQL scripts and objects such as stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, indexes per business requirements
• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in a construction or a mining company is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL, Python as well as possessing Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot table, advanced formulas)
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and evaluate priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience in a manufacturing company is a plus
• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in operations research, manufacturing, supply chain or related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
• Must be creative, analytical, and have strong problem-solving skills
• Design and develop products using engineering fundamentals
