The Technical College System of Georgia is accepting applications for the following part-time position:

Data & Finance Intern, Office of Workforce Development

Salary range: $20/hr. (15-20 hrs. per week)

Location: 1800 Century Place, Suite 150, Atlanta, Georgia 30345 Start Date: May-June, 2023

The Data & Finance Intern is responsible for supporting the statewide implementation and oversight of all data and finance- related efforts and initiatives under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the Office of Workforce Development (OWD).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and maintain participant data in the WorkSource Georgia Portal;
• Collecting and cataloging training and employment guidance letters to support state office staff;
• Assists in the research and tracking of data pertaining to WIOA-served populations;
• Developing Finance-related presentations for future WorkSource events;
• Collaborating with other state agencies and stakeholders to advocate on behalf of assigned initiatives and programmatic subject matter;
• Drafting, editing, and presenting policy documents, research reports, and planning documents; and
• Conducts extensive research to compile information needed to generate reports, complete projects and accurately responds to questions and concerns;
• Other duties as assigned.
• Curating information from federal grant regulations to support local workforce staff;
• Assist in developing a comprehensive WIOA costs guide;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration, Communications, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of TCSG rules, policies and procedures
• Organizational skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to job-related software programs
