Job Description

Role Overview
Are you a detail-oriented individual with strong computer skills and a knack for typing? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Data Entry Clerk position. As a key member of our data team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our database's integrity and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Transcribe data from paper documents into our digital database using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
Enter data provided directly by customers with accuracy and efficiency.
Create error-free spreadsheets containing large sets of figures.
Validate data accuracy by cross-referencing it with source documents.
Update and maintain existing data within the database.
Retrieve requested information from the database or electronic files.
Conduct regular data backups to ensure data preservation.
Organize and categorize paperwork after data entry to prevent loss.
Requirements And Skills
Proven experience as a data entry clerk.
Proficient Typing Skills With Knowledge Of Touch Typing Preferred.
Strong knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheet software (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
Familiarity with office equipment and computer hardware and peripherals.
Basic understanding of database operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, coupled with outstanding customer service skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
High school degree or equivalent.
