As a Data Analyst on the Data Science team, you will work cross-functionally with data engineers, data scientists, business experts, and external vendors to help Starbucks make decisions better by using data and analytics. You will use your experience to enhance metrics and reporting, support problem identification and resolution, and identify areas of opportunity using structured and unstructured data. You will work directly with business partners and technology teams from problem identification to solution. You will quickly become an expert in one of our Supply Chain business and data domain and work cross functionally in an analytics center of excellence to improve existing processes or analytical approaches.

Leveraging Your Previous Experience, We Will Enable You To

• Work independently and through ambiguous situations to build relevant analytic solutions using quantitative approaches.
• Extract data from various systems, clean/massage/transform the data, and perform exploratory analysis.
• Build relationships with a wide range of business partners and establish yourself and the team as subject matter experts in supply chain analytics.
• Drive adoption of data products and insights across business teams by visualizing results and crafting effective communications to share discoveries.
• Use a systems approach to conceive, plan, and build new data products
• Evaluate unstructured questions from business teams and translate them into data problems.
• Use your presentation skills to share insights and recommendations to our business partners and also more detailed technical reviews with the analytics community.

We’d Love To Hear From People With

• BA/BS with concentration in quantitative discipline - Statistics, Math, Comp Science,
• Minimum 1 year experience within data analysis field or discipline

Engineering, Econ, Quantitative Social Science or similar discipline

• Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
• Working knowledge of data systems design & data technologies
• Competency in SQL, at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc.), and Tableau
• Bonus if you have operations research and supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, predictive modeling, machine learning, and all phases of the modeling pipeline
