In This Role, You Will

• Collaborates to develop, and appropriately execute, a change strategy, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and adoption plans
• Create, review, update and communicate ServiceHub and other relevant metrics in collaboration with Manager, Analytics and Development, OIT leadership, peers and agency stakeholders.
• Validate, Filter and “clean” data by reviewing relevant reports, metrics and performance indicators to locate and correct data problems
• Create, review, update and communicate dashboards and reporting in collaboration with Manager, Analytics and Development, Director, Technology Performance & Planning, OIT leadership, peers and agency stakeholders.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows:

Minimum Qualifications

Work Experience:

• Two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst in an Enterprise environment.

Substitutions

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience developing dashboards using data reporting tools (Tableau, ETL)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• 2 years expereince with ServiceNow, with preference toward specific hands-on knowledge of Performance Analytics dashboard and report development and maintenance work.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with performance analytics and reporting packages (Servicenow, Tableau etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• 3 years working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst, including experience in soliciting requirements.

Conditions Of Employment

OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work.

A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

Positions supporting some agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety will also require a pre-employment drug test.

This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.

This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.
