Curseforge Content Moderator Jobs

We’re looking for a talented Content Moderator to join the almighty CurseForge team.
Overwolf is revolutionizing the way people create and play games. Our mod publishing platform, CurseForge, is one of the biggest mod repositories in the world, serving communities like Minecraft, WoW, and Among Us.

As a part-time content moderator, you will be responsible for covering content moderation during main office off-time of weekends (Friday-Saturday), night time and holidays.
During your day, you will be reviewing both written content and files of submitted mods for a variety of games, including Minecraft, World of Warcraft, The Sims 4, and more, making sure they meet the relevant moderation policies and guidelines and providing accurate and objective feedback for any required changes.
In addition, you will be responsible for answering user-submitted tickets for help on any moderation-related questions or other topics related to the authors on the platform.
Responsibilities:

• Keep the CurseForge project library engaging, appropriate, and safe.
• Actively help improve front and back end project uploading processes, and create assistance guides and how-to articles.
• Answer creator inquiries through multiple channels.
• Review, approve, reject or send back digital content projects (mods) for corrections while applying content, EULA, and ToS policies.
• Sync between different teams such as Support, R&D, and QA to help resolve day-to-day issues.

Requirements:

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in an organized and methodical manner.
• Provide daily and weekly reporting and ongoing communication with HQ
• Hardcore gamer, actively playing 2-3 PC games (Extra points for Minecraft, World of Warcraft, The Sims 4 or Ark: Survival Evolved).
• Communicative, patient, with a ‘can-do’ approach.
• Native-level English skills, both written and spoken.
• Good troubleshooting and multitasking abilities.

Bonus points

• Experience in technological environments and/or software companies.
• Solid understanding of file types and folder structure.
• Ability to identify secret portals and fake walls.
• Knowledge in Java, LUA or other scripting languages.
