Music Writer Jobs

A Music Writer at 47Magazine and Media will go to shows, festivals, and events and write coverage about the experience. You will work alongside a team of other writers and photographers while pitching artists and events to the editors. Your work will be included in our up-and-coming column page, where we have covered such artists as Drake, Sammy Rae and The Friends, TWICE, Dvvd, and more. This is not a paid job.

Responsibilities

• Pitch upcoming events or shows to the Entertainment Editors and Talent Wrangler.
• Writing artist profiles and doing interviews with bands and artists.
• Pitching artists in the area to feature for issues, and on a rolling basis.
• Going to shows and/or festivals in the NYC area and writing reviews about the experience.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work well with a team

Writing experience

Photography is always a plus
