Company Description


This role reports into the Head of Crisis Management and forms part of the newly reorganised Global Business Resilience Office (GBRO), part of Group Risk. You will primarily support the delivery a global crisis management programme and response capability, driving our crisis management maturity as part of our overarching Operational Resilience Programme. You will also be an experienced resilience professional able to advise on good business continuity practise and ensure preparedness for the business to respond events in line with risk appetite.


This role would suit either a resilience manager with crisis management experience or newcomer with transferable skills that will ensure ongoing development and delivery of the Experian Resilience agenda & programme.


Why this role is important to us


This role operates in a dynamic working environment across multiple time zones in varied and diverse global business areas. You will support the delivery of the Global Crisis Management Programme, in line with Global Policy and standards within Experian’s Crisis Management Framework. Your secondary focus will also be to be a trusted partner to North America leadership, able to advise on all resilience matters as part of the wider GBRO team. In both roles you will provide consultancy to key stakeholders, using knowledge ideally built on previous practical experience of resilience and incident management. You will also assist in the development, and implementation of training and awareness programmes to stakeholders across the business. Ensuring current thinking and best practice guidance is always provided. You will also proactively assess the effectiveness of our resilience planning, assumptions and strategies and provide and execute solutions to mitigate potential weaknesses.


As a Crisis Management Officer (CMO) be expected to participate in an out of hours call rota; facilitate, guide, and advise business and security partners on incident responses in times of crisis.



What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian


  • Significant first hand experience coupled with relevant academic professional qualifications
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks relating to Financial Services
  • Clear understating of the business and the impact of the crisis management framework and resilience policy


Work That Matters - What You’ll Be Doing


  • Supporting the delivery of a consistent approach to crisis management at a regional and global level
  • Trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on critical incidents, acting with discretion on sensitive matters
  • Provide strong leadership to crisis management teams during incidents and to the GBRO team in resilience matters
  • Support the production of regular management information for executive audiences.
  • Deliver best in class preparedness training and exercises, including post incident review and remedial action plan execution


Qualifications


  • Ability to interpret analyse and articulate complex data and problems impactfully
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Stakeholder management, good communication skills at all levels
  • Previous leadership and team management experience that can be built on in the future
  • Understanding of working across cultures

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
