Texas Health Action (THA) is a community-informed non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment, with an expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and those impacted by HIV. THA is currently looking for two Creative Specialists to join our Creative Department team. The Creative Specialists will help develop, produce, design, and illustrate engaging visual and written comment for digital and print platforms. They will be supporting the creative team in executing programmatic and fundraising campaign’s to maximize brand exposure and generate revenue. This is a fully remote position with the option to work hybrid from one of our Austin clinic spaces. This position reports to the Creative Director.

What you would do:

• Stay up to date with THA programs, services, and the evolving landscape of LGBTQIA+ healthcare.
• Brainstorm and develop visual content for branded campaigns.
• Work closely with Creative Director to execute THA brand strategy.
• Copywriting and editing messaging for emails, graphics, and website.
• Monitor content industry and design trends, practices, and technologies.
• Graphic design and/or illustration of digital and print materials, including social media graphics, reports, flyers, brochures, merchandise, stickers, signs, etc.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation

Based on job duties and requirements, this position is placed in our salary band 42 ,with a hourly pay range of $22.01 to $25.93. Initial placement within this range will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements

Your Previous Background Must Include:

• Strong written communication skills
• Illustration for print and digital
• Graphic Design for print and digital
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

Your Background Would Ideally Include:

• Special consideration for candidates with experience creating content for sexual health, LGBTQIA+ communities, and development campaigns.
• Bachelors in Graphic Design or equivalent program
• Bilingual Spanish/English
