Corporate Services Cad Operator And Estimator

The CAD Operator is responsible for reviewing commercial plans, generating estimates, producing shop drawings and communicating with designers and partners to complete projects. This position is dedicated to supporting new customer fabrication or installation projects for our Corporate Sales team. This position requires creative thinking to provide estimating options to satisfy challenging restrictions. The estimator must have the ability to clearly and concisely write project scope as well as manage multiple projects consecutively and work both independently and with team members

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create AutoCAD fabrication drawings for internal and external use
• Generate, review and complete estimates for customer projects leveraging Bluebeam
• Provide clearly defined project scope documents for business partners
• Track and report projects and actionables accurately
• Communicate directly with requesting entity to gather information critical to generate requested estimates
• Establish estimate format and breakdown as well as maintaining updated cost awareness

Qualifications and Skills:

• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
• Ability to read and understand architectural building blueprints
• Efficient AutoCAD operation for dimensional drawings
• Highly detail oriented and estimating expertise
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Positive, thorough and proactive customer service skills
• Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes
• Experience in the operation of Bluebeam or Adobe pro
• Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Post-secondary education in AutoCAD operation or architectural drafting preferred

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience using AutoCAD (2D/3D), previous experience in a construction industry a plus

Systems: AutoCAD, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam

Additional Requirements:

Managerial Responsibilities: None.

Travel Requirements: Travel to other Cambria locations may be required.

Physical Requirements: This is an office position requiring phone and computer use.
