Gale Construction Company(GCC) is looking for its next team member. We have created an Estimator position at GCC. As an Estimator, you will be an integral part of each and every project. The salary for this position is up to $100,000/year for candidates who closely match what we’re looking for.

You’ll get to work on:

• Present final estimate packages to Vice President, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation
• Evaluate variances between actual and budgeted costs. Develop effective project cost model for estimating future projects based upon historical data
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project schedules by performing detailed quantity take-offs and analyzing the SOW, plans, and specifications
• Review all change order requests prepared by project management to confirm if maximized profit opportunity.
• Participate in client pre-bid meetings, internal meetings, and organize site visits to obtain any unique or specific requirements that may affect the cost estimate
• Create and submit bid proposal packages (for both government and commercial clients) according to client requirements
• Work closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Superintendents to compile all necessary project documents.
• Assist with Microsoft Project and Primavera Software Project Scheduling.
• Define individual scopes of work for qualified subcontractors and suppliers in order to coordinate time on projects.

You will thrive in this role if:

• USACE/NAVFAC RMS portal experience and QC/QA training, preferred.
• You have a college degree in a related field, such as construction management, estimating, engineering, preferred.
• You have some experience with federal/state level construction projects, that’s a big plus.
• You bring some experience to the table; ideally, 2-5 years of progressive experience in project estimating, including construction management, contract administration, and documentation.
