Cook I - Production ($2,000 Sign-On Incentive For New Ui Hires)

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I to perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision, perform general cooking duties using standardized recipes and perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.

Limited Time Incentive Available: selected candidates are eligible for a one-time sign-on incentive of $2,000. Current UI employees are not eligible.

• Performs general cooking, food preparation, and serving meals using standardized recipes and procedures
• Checks food against predetermined quality prior to service
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures

Schedule: 8:00am - 12:00pm Monday - Friday. Rotating weekend and holiday scheduling

Salary: $16.25/hour
