Cook I - Production

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I to perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision, perform general cooking duties using standardized recipes and perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.

Work 5 various stations Ingredients Control, Prep areas, Cooking areas (Ovens, Kettles, Grill). Assist in prepping and assemble various recipes. Must have positive communication and problem solving approach. Assist colleagues when needed.

• Cleans and sanitizes cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures
• Checks food against predetermined quality prior to service
• Performs general cooking, food preparation, and serving meals using standardized recipes and procedures

Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday Rotating weekend and holiday scheduling

Salary: $16.74/hour
