Consultant - Implementation Jobs

• Share Sales and Use tax expertise through updates of internal documentation.
• Leverage Sales and Use Tax returns knowledge as well as best practices for onboarding customers to ensure customer compliance.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of the onboarding process.
• Clearly articulate and manage the scope of work for projects related to software and data services.
• Project manage multiple customer projects to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Support the sales and account management teams in identifying additional tax and professional services opportunities.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrate Sales and Use tax expertise and consult with customers to ensure their Avalara setup aligns with their business needs.

• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees and customers.
• Ability to think strategically, solve problems effectively, and tenaciously follow through to ensure client success.
• Five or more years of applicable tax or tax software experience.
• Strong ability to understand and conceptualize accounting and tax processes and procedures.
• Adaptability, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with clients at all organizational levels with a high degree of professionalism and business acumen.
• Proven experience and familiarity with Microsoft computer programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Location: We’re opening this role to candidates located in commuting distance from our Durham, NC office as this will be a hybrid role
