Computing Systems Engineer Jobs

Encantado Technical Solutions is seeking a Computing Systems Engineer to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. You will provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. You will resolve incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment). You will act as primary point of contact for an organization for all technical issues and requests.

• Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
• General Networking Concepts, Switches (Moxa, Cisco, Arista)
• Siemens and Creo Applications
• B.S./B.A. and 2 years of experience.
• Following instructions, maintain systems by applying Operating System or Application patches, install new or replace hardware, and apply configuration changes to improve or restore system performance.
• Work with vendors or external partners to diagnose and resolve application issues
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment
• Perform system capacity analysis and planning. Assist users in accessing and using Application systems.
• In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable.
• DNS, DHCP, Windows AD, Windows Servers
• ESX, vCenter, VMWare Standalone Converter
• Support assignments to resolve technical issues affecting hardware, operating systems, or applications.
• HPE Servers, iDRAC, KVM’s and Data Center Experience
• Perform add, moves and changes to new and existing systems
• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Analyze and study complex system requirements.
