Overview A Benefits Lead is responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs. This includes developing and implementing strategies to ensure that the organization’s benefits plans are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. The Benefits Lead is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the benefits department, including overseeing the administration of employee benefits, managing the budget, and providing guidance and support to employees. Detailed Job Description The Benefits Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that the organization’s benefits plans are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. This includes researching and evaluating benefit plans, negotiating with vendors, and managing the budget. The Benefits Lead is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the benefits department, including overseeing the administration of employee benefits, managing the budget, and providing guidance and support to employees. The Benefits Lead will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or compensation
• Professional certification in Human Resources or related field (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of employee benefits and compensation
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
• Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or compensation
• Experience in developing and implementing employee benefits plans
• Experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a benefits department
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors
• Experience in providing guidance and support to employees
