Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Communication Specialist and support a prestigious client in the public sector! In this role, you'll collaborate with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to optimize their training programs, specifically focusing on grants management. Get ready to unleash your creativity by developing engaging training resources and marketing materials that captivate learners and instructors alike!
Responsibilities
Craft Captivating Marketing Materials:
Design, develop, and update eye-catching brochures, flyers, videos, and multimedia products that leave a lasting impression.
Collaborate With Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Work closely with SMEs to research, develop, maintain, and update training content, ensuring its relevance and accuracy.
Create Interactive Training Resources
Develop innovative multimedia training resources and other impactful materials for larger-scale projects, taking learning to new heights.
Produce Training Tools
Design and produce practical training tools, including printable job aids, quick reference guides, and comprehensive training manuals.
Engage Learners Through Effective Content
Write and copyedit scripts for instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and web-based training (WBT), ensuring the delivery of highly effective learning content.
Ensure Compliance And Quality
Apply 508 compliance standards to all materials, conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure error-free deliverables.
Gather User Feedback
Develop student experience surveys and forms to collect valuable feedback, using it to enhance the educational materials.
Analyze Training Needs
Conduct routine data analysis to identify training needs and areas for improvement, shaping future programs accordingly.
Customer Satisfaction
Apply your business knowledge and understanding of customer needs to ensure exceptional client satisfaction with the delivered outcomes.
Support Training Delivery
Assist in the delivery and facilitation of training, leveraging your expertise to create engaging learning experiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
8 years of experience (5 years with an advanced degree) in the communications field, with a proven track record of success
Extensive experience in communications, training, and material development
Ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to transform complex content into engaging learning materials
Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and coordinate deliverables from various stakeholders
Familiarity with eLearning content development software
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro (samples required)
Proficiency in file-sharing platforms, word processing software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Planner and/or Project
Experience With SharePoint Or Other File Sharing Platforms
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
