About The Role
As the Administrative Assistant for our Post-Bac Premedical program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. You will be the friendly face and voice that handles inquiries from prospective and current students, providing them with timely and accurate information. Your proactive approach and warmth will leave a lasting impression on everyone you interact with.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging Communication: Respond to inquiries via email and telephone in a professional and helpful manner, radiating warmth and empathy. You will be the bridge between students, faculty, and the wider college community.
Admissions Support: Be an integral part of the admissions process, coordinating with PostBacCAS, preparing applicant files for review, and facilitating interview visits. You will play a crucial role in helping aspiring medical professionals achieve their dreams.
Efficient Office Management: Keep the PBPM office running like clockwork by scheduling meetings, managing classrooms and exams, ordering supplies, and handling maintenance orders. Your organizational skills will be the backbone of our smooth operations.
Information Management: Utilize various systems and tools such as PowerCampus, Workday, Access, webpage, and more to update and manage electronic documents. Your tech-savviness will be highly valued.
Alumni Support: Assist our alumni during the medical school application process by preparing recommendation letters and ensuring timely transmissions.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: You should have a minimum of five years of professional administrative experience in a fast-paced office setting. Previous experience with the medical school application process is a plus.
