Commercial Paralegal (Contract Administration)

Summary
As a Commercial Paralegal, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activity of negotiating, structuring and drafting commercial contracts with GE Healthcare key strategic and corporate account customers. You will play an important role as a strategic business partner advising on commercial transactions and other advice in support of GE Healthcare’s United States Equipment, Services and Digital businesses.GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Responsibilities

• Administering contract documentation and approval systems pursuant to GE Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Working closely with company sales, service, finance and controllership teams as well as customers, business managers and attorneys.
• Managing contract databases, clause libraries, and other documentation tools.
• Acting as a business partner by applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.
• Providing legal leadership on specific commercial areas as identified that may include government, channel partners and/or other focus areas.
• Under guidance of counsel, drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic business agreements and transactions such as (but not limited to) customer sales contracts, license agreements, amendments, confidentiality agreements, contract amendments, and request for proposals.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent drafting skills.
• Communicate effectively and articulate complex ideas in an easily understandable way.
• Prioritize conflicting demands.
• Work in a fast-paced, demanding and collaborative environment.
• 5 years of business law experience at a large law firm or corporate legal department supporting complex businesses in a regulated environment, including drafting, negotiating and closing complex business transactions (i.e. purchase and sale, licensing and distribution agreements).

Desired Characteristics

• Experience of the Healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations (FDA, Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback)
• Demonstrated experience in a regulated environment
