The Cloud Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the cloud support team. This position leads a team of systems engineers who support the operation systems and applications for our clients hosted in our private cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Solve complex problems that consistently span work domains, requiring the considerable judgement of contextual factors.
- Work independently, with occasional validation of work efforts against strategic and operational objectives.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Lead small projects and other initiatives for the cloud support team.
- Develop a strong client relationship and contribute to sales outcomes.
- Develop and maintain KPIs for the cloud support team.
- Set and manage short and long-term goals for the team.
- Work closely with the cloud infrastructure team to deliver seamless service to clients.
- Create and implement work plans for assigned projects, programs and clients against established operational objectives.
- Lead a team of support personnel ensuring high-quality support to our clients.
Requirements:
- Solid project management skills.
- Availability to manage on-call, after hours, as needed.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a private cloud or MSP environment is strongly preferred.
- Passionate about servant leadership and team member development.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Ability to convey complex technical items to both seasoned engineers and laypersons from end users to executive management.
Experience with the following:
o Microsoft technologies (Windows Server and Active Directory).
o ConnectWise Manage & Automate.
o Brightgauge.
o SPLA and other MS licensure programs.
o RD Gateway / TS Farm deployments.
o GPOs and other security-related items.
- Understanding of change control and technical audits.
- Experience with HIPAA and PHI controls.
- SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and requirements.
