The Role
Solutions Architects participate in the definition of the higher-level functional and non-functional requirements, analyze technical trade-offs, determine the major components and subsystems, and define the interfaces and collaborations between them. This position will be engaged with defining solutions in both Corporate IT as well as Business DevOps solutioning, with multiple solution paths available.
The Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Solution Architects on the definition of E2E Use Cases and Test Scenarios to ensure the right level of detail
- Proven ability to partner with diverse roles and teams to influence and drive collaboration and clarity
- Own Data mapping between their assigned system(s) and partner with corresponding system architect(s) or process architect(s) to document and align on a solution
- Lead the understanding of business needs, translation of those needs into innovative, scalable, and maintainable architecture constructs, analysis of technical trade-offs, determination of major components and subsystems, and definition of interfaces.
- Create clear architecture deliverables and impart knowledge through excellent verbal and written communication
- Own Producing and Consuming APIs for their assigned system(s). They partner with other System Architects to document and align on a solution
- Groom User Stories with the Development team and guide them with questions on implementation
What We Look For in a Candidate
- SAFE or other Agile methodology experience desired
- Hands-on development experience in a DevOps environment
- Get the Right Things Done
- 3+ years as a Senior System Architect experience required
- Experience with distributed architecture system solutions, high volume applications, and Hybrid cloud applications
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and teams in a dynamic environment, with a high degree of drive and independence
- Sense of Urgency – prioritize and communicate; move quickly without fear, and a plan to fix mistakes quickly
- Experience utilizing UML modeling, Use Cases, or other methods to communicate architectural concepts clearly to diverse groups. Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-starter identifies where there are gaps and proactively assists where it is needed for team success. Manage time appropriately to complete deadlines, drive and follow up on risks or issues and you own them
- Security application experience is preferred
