Job Description

:
This resource will be joining the Cloud Solutions team at one of our global partners in the Defense/Aerospace industry is looking for a Cloud Automation expert to assist with migrating applications into their private cloud environment. They will be working hands-on with numerous application owners to find common patterns and implement automated solutions to streamline processes. This is a great opportunity for somebody with a strong cloud automation background to use their expertise to make a huge impact on the implementation of a massive cloud migration project at a Fortune 50 enterprise! Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Automation
o Experience in both Azure and AWS cloud environments
  • Creation and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions
  • Experience partnering with application owners and architects to find common patterns, understand requirements, and brainstorm automation solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions, as well as other automation tools and scripting
  • Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines
o Understanding of the process for an application team to complete IT Security and ITC assessments and what’s needed for a solution to be approved and implement
  • Enterprise level experience in an Agile Environment
Nice to have:
• RedHat certified Engineer
  • AWS or Azure Cloud certifications
  • Experience in SRE and/or DevOps environments
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in updating architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available
  • Assist in creating and updating patterns as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available
  • Partner with applications owners and architects to design, implement, and document solutions that comply with strategic enterprise architecture and guidelines in terms of a business, information, and technical standpoint
  • Evangelize DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code (IAC), automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into IT/IS infrastructure capabilities verified to meet the project requirements
