Client Support at Womack
The Client Support Specialist is responsible for accurately fulfilling Client orders, continuously working to maintain and improve Client relations, managing order processes and shipment tracking, delivering routine Client quotes and pricing, and escalating calls when appropriate.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Responsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory or supplier inventory
- Partner with Sales Team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Create quotes and sales orders in primary business system software (Profit 21)
- Escalate issues to appropriate management or technical level
- Promptly provide accurate product information, including pricing, availability and lead time to address Client needs
- Follow up with Clients to provide accurate delivery dates and updated order status
- Other duties may be required
- Route non-standard or technically complex Client inquiries to appropriate Client Support Supervisor for resolution
- Understand and follow appropriate work processes
- Maintain Client information such as contacts and order preferences
- Utilize supplier internet portals to obtain current product information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent amount of education and related experience
- 2-3 years of Customer/Client Service experience in a technical industry or related technical field
- 2-3 years of experience in the same or similar role within the industrial distribution industry or related technical field
Skills & Abilities
- Basic skill level using distribution or manufacturing software involving sales order entry, inventory availability, purchase order inquiry, scheduled and acknowledged dates, open and converted quotations, and Customer A/R account status; experience with these operations in a Profit 21 environment is preferred (not required)
- Strong Microsoft skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively utilize Internet resources to obtain information
- Ability to manage and handle large load of incoming emails
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand requests and accurately fulfill sales orders
