Child Care Attendant

Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, shift options: 8AM-12PM OR 4-7PM

Love working with kids in a safe, play based setting? Good Shepherd Health & Wellness Center, managed by HealthFitness, has opportunities for Child Care Attendants in Barrington, IL. As a Child Care Attendant, you will be responsible for safe and fun play with children who are in the facility. Free membership included!

What You Will Be Doing

• Greeting each parent, interacting with parents, and following up on the needs of the child.
• Sanitizing toys and play equipment.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
• Ensuring that the children in their care are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
• Participating in child’s activities: reading, painting, crafts, play.
• Observing and playing with children.

Role Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with young children.
• This client site requires a flu vaccination as an essential job function.
• Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
