The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at BlindSpots will be responsible for leading the company’s technology strategy, development, and operations. The CTO will drive the development and execution of technical direction, provide technical guidance to the team, and ensure the company’s technology platform is utilized to its fullest capabilities.
The CTO will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for leading and developing a cohesive technology vision that is aligned with the organization’s objectives and strategies. This individual will collaborate with IT staff and other departments to develop strong technical solutions to meet customer and business requirements.
The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with the organization’s stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the technology strategy and roadmap, evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations on usage and integration.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions and initiatives.
• Oversee the IT team, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage the organization's technology resources, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Monitor the organization’s technology performance and suggest improvements or upgrades.
• Create and maintain relevant technical documentation and oversee technical software audits.
• Develop best practices for technology usage, user experience, and security.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and provide feedback to the executive team.
• Oversee the selection and management of vendors, and ensure quality control of technology services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including other departments and executives.
• Liaise with customers to provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
Required Skills:
• Proven track record in technology leadership and development.
• Strong technical expertise, with experience in system administration, IT security, cloud computing, and software development.
• In-depth knowledge of web applications, databases, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
