Job Description

Undefeated/BOOST Chief of Staff and Strategy

As part of the Undefeated senior leadership team and reporting to the CEO, this is both an operational and strategic role that will help the senior leadership be more productive and build the company’s business development and sales engine.

As Chief of Staff and Strategy, you will help manage and articulate the business strategy. You will drive important cross-functional projects for the company and help ensure the overall success of the CEO and senior leadership.

Description

You will work closely with the CEO to make time, information, and decision-making more efficient. We are seeking to secure gains in productivity and impact by helping the CEO stay focused on priorities, create more space to think through big decisions, and keep track and follow-up on what’s been delegated. The COS integrates work-streams that are siloed, leads special projects, and is a communicator linking the leadership team and the broader organization.

The COS is a reliable sounding-board. They are an honest broker and truth teller to the leadership group not biased by turf nor influenced by some organizational agenda, and instead considers the need of the entire enterprise. At the heart, it’s about extending the effectiveness of the leadership – making the most of his limited time and ensuring that information arrives at the right point in his decision-making process.

You will assist the leadership in ensuring that policies and strategies are well planned, articulated and implemented.You will anticipate problems, interrogate strategies, challenge the leadership and the CEO to be their best.

The COS works autonomously and does not handle routine day-to-day tasks of the CEO, but rather is an executive role and is a member of the senior leadership team. You know which relationships are most important to the CEO’s agenda and work to strengthen them. You are respected by other senior leaders, and you know the Board’s expectations.

Qualities

  • Track-record managing sales pipelines and closing high volume enterprise deals in a high growth environment.
  • Business savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology and what is required for sustained operating results.
  • Self-directed and action focused:consistently assess, strategize, and execute on what needs to be done.
  • Approx. 10-15 years of experience inenterprise B2B sales.
  • Shows attention to detail.
  • Startup experience: comfort withnavigating ambiguityand change.
  • Proven track record withmeeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the overall business and its main business units.
  • Experience in working in SaaS, data/IP licensing, analytics, robotic process automation, or generative AI/language technologies industries.
