Job Description

Korn Ferry has partnered with a top private equity firm in their search for a Chief Human Resources Officer working in Broomfield, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and highly motivated senior HR leader with strong private equity and M&A experience to design and implement human resource strategy as part of the executive team. An experienced and strategic leader will be able to serve as a trusted and valuable partner in this role while promoting efficiency and ensuring people support is provided to all employees and stakeholders as company goals are met in a cost-effective way. Salary for this position is $250k with bonus opportunities available. This role is onsite in Broomfield, Colorado.


Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement all strategy, action plans, and budgeting for human resource functions
  • Oversee all employee relations matters, counsel managers and employees, recommend solutions, and, if needed, work with legal to conduct investigations and provide guidance on the handling of legal actions
  • Drive development of the organization and lead change management by collaborating with senior leadership on performance, learning opportunities, and supporting M&A initiative
  • Assist with organizational efficient by clarifying roles, measuring the success of HR programs using metrics, and then developing informed programs to improve employee performance
  • Connect with a diverse workforce to understand the needed compensation, benefits, and culture to attract and retain top talent
  • Work with senior leadership and management to provide training and guidance on specific skills, performance appraisals, and coaching and mentoring strategies
  • Create talent development programs, grow employees, and find candidates for internal succession planning to further meet organizational goals
  • Ensure the organization is compliant with all local, state, and federal employee laws and regulations
  • Evaluate current HR and talent acquisition programs and strategies to find areas of improvement as well as areas where recognition and edward programming could be utilized


Educational & Work Requirements:

  • Experience selecting and developing training and instructional programs on a variety of media platforms
  • Private equity expertise highly desired
  • Experience with HR interactions in M&A due diligence
  • Proven experience working with a diverse workforce of craft professionals working both on site and in the field
  • Human Resources Certifications preferred (CHRP, SHRM, etc)
  • Some travel required
  • Knowledge of employment laws and legal regulations as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership and communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented individual with experience providing strong leadership, innovative programs and solutions, and accomplishing individual and team goals in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with self-funded insurance is preferred
  • Experience with regional leadership within a construction, industrial, logistics or manufacturing highly desired.
  • Strong talent acquisition and management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
  • Problem solving skills
  • 15+ years HR experience with experience leading an HR team
  • In depth knowledge of strategic planning involving business and management principles
