HR Admin Assistant: Salary Range: $17.85 - $19.00 an hour

Job Summary


  • The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative and office support to the Human Resources Manager and Employment Specialist by performing a variety of data entry, records processing, and administrative tasks and projects. Answers routine questions, assists staff and leadership with forms and provides other support to the Human Resources team.

Education/Experience/License/Certification


  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance as required by law
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience in an office setting, preferably in an HR office.
  • Associate’s degree in business or office management preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Required Travel


  • Occasional travel is required, including day-to-day local travel


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Experience with interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience working with an HR Information System preferred.
  • Experience working in an office that required managing sensitive information and confidential files.

  • Strong interpersonal and excellent customer services skills with the ability to respond positively to difficult situations.
  • Previous experience managing file systems and databases required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access required.
  • Previous experience researching and solving problems.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple projects to meet critical deadlines.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Provide support to Human Resources Manager and the HR team. Handle routine office tasks such as data entry, copying, filing, handling mail, preparing correspondence and answering the telephone.
  • Ensure the function and activities of this department to embrace the philosophy, mission, values and Communicate with Heart service model supported by the Board of Directors of Pueblo Community Health Center, Inc.
  • Assist with scheduling applicant interviews.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to create and edit documents and reports and Microsoft Outlook to maintain calendars and appointments.
  • Maintain filing systems to include filing paperwork, scanning/faxing documents, emailing information, retrieving forms, facilitating, disseminating and collecting all employment paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Enter employee information into database.
  • Recommend changes and revisions to Human Resources policies and/or procedures.
  • File all paperwork from orientation and track forms that need additional information.
  • The above duties are not all inclusive and are not intended to limit or define the duties that may be assigned.
  • Provide employee lists monthly and as needed to Executive Assistant.
  • Assist in replying to employee requests for information and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel files, correspondence, meetings, telephone and or conversations, and any and all documentation generated or received by Human Resources.

  • Provides backup support for other members of the Human Resources team as requested.
  • Adhere to the guidelines and procedures of Pueblo Community Health Center, Inc.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from staff and leadership.
  • Assist with maintenance of appropriate federal, state and local labor postings.
