You will be part of an enthusiastic and collaborative Handysize/Supramax Chartering team, working in an international environment with regular interactions with colleagues across the globe in effort to develop the business in North America. You will be working across a range of commodities and develop relationships with brokers, ship owners, and both industrial and trading firms.

Besides this you will become part of a data driven team, with the mindset of data being key in our daily operation.

The tasks that await you

As our new colleague and Chartering Manager, you will be key in ensuring that ships deliver the cargo safely in the most cost-effective manner. More specifically the position has a focus on:

• Developing strategic trades to enable growth globally
• Coordinating and positioning our fleet in close cooperation with your direct team and our global offices
• Maximising earnings on own tonnage
• Creating direct value doing short term contracts, tonnage and cargoes
• Establishing and maintaining external as well as internal relationships (customers, brokers, owners etc.)

Your competences and core qualifications

As a person, you see yourself as outgoing and thrive building solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You are committed and appreciate working independently while still prioritising the needs of the team before your own agenda. You get energy from coordinating and directing your communication, which is key to ensuring an optimised workflow.

Apart from this we imagine that you have:

• A preferable history within the following areas: US Gulf – US East Coast – North Coast South America, optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes & key customer relationships
• 1 – 5 years of relevant experience within Dry Cargo Chartering. Preferably within the Handysize/Supramax segment
