Role Overview

We are looking for:

An experienced Project Engineer for our Havre de Grace, MD facility. This position is

responsible for working cross functionally with multiple departments to develop capital requests,

evaluate business cases and provide justification, write RFQ’s, project scopes, timelines, gather quotes,

and execute project plans. In addition, this position will be responsible to support facility and equipment

related challenges outside of capital requests.

We count on you for:

• Provide weekend and off-hour support as needed to accomplish project goals and avoid operational disruptions
• Update project and facility AutoCAD drawings
• Manage projects through such activities as evaluating business cases and justification, writing project descriptions, objectives, safety plans, RFQs, timelines, and following a toll-gate process.
• Apply value challenging and value engineering practices to determine the best solution to each problem
• Determine applicable engineering codes and safety standards for each engineered design to ensure compliance
• Support facility and equipment related failures; determine root cause and provide corrective actions
• Review and contribute to Contractor Safety Plans
• Manage projects to support the site capital maintenance of business budget projects involving the facility and manufacturing process equipment
• Process Manage of Change requests to support process, equipment, or facility changes
• Issue Safety Work Permits routinely for multiple groups of contractors
• Conduct Safety Audits and inspections as needed

You will bring:

• Toll-gate process experience for project management
• AutoCAD proficient
• Mechanical design experience is a must
• Controls and Electrical Engineering experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience managing projects up to $500,000
• Professional Engineering certification is a plus
• Experience working with a union and Maintenance team
• Engineering and Safety codes and standards knowledge
• Contractor management and Safety Work Permit experience
• Value Engineering and Challenge experience
• Change Management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective interaction with exempt and non-exempt employees
• Root cause analysis tools
• Team Oriented; engages with cross-functional team to involve all affected parties

• Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,821 to $113,526 per year.
