Cfo & Managing Partner (Technology & Private Equity, Wfh) - New

EVC Ventures, a Miami-based private equity fund with over $100mn in assets under management, is looking for a CFO.

The CFO & Managing Partner is in charge of planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance and accounting activities of EVC Ventures, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.

Position Responsibilities:

• Accountability of the monthly closing process getting completed accurately and timely manner by the Accounting team

• Accountability of getting monthly operating plan budgeting, forecasting and variance reports completed accurately and timely by the Financial Planning & Analysis team

• Accountability to manage all tax compliance and to lead research and optimization projects for tax savings in the US and India

• Accountability to lead the annual external audit of financial statements (Marcum)

• Assist in exiting portfolio companies through providing leading financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting

• Assist in mergers and acquisitions by leading valuation studies

• Lead the transition from current finance systems to a cloud-based finance system

• Drive the fund accounting team in the preparation of the funds’ periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund related reports

Critical-to-Quality Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience of working in technology or asset management (preferably in fund houses, fund administrators or the Big 4 ).

• Proven track record of growing businesses as CFO, Corporate Controller and / or VP of Finance

• Previous early stage growth company experience

• Technology (Software, IT/ITES), Private equity, venture capital-based company experience

• Minimum 10-15 years track record of progressive career development in corporate accounting and finance

• Experience in month end close, regular reporting requirements and financial modeling.

• Ability to be flexible and highly responsive to client needs and requests
