Private Equity Associate Jobs

H&P is aiding a Washington DC-based, middle-market private equity firm in the expansion of their team. They are targeting an associate-level candidate with prior M&A investment banking experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis on potential investment opportunities, with a particular emphasis on environmentally conscious companies and projects.
2. Deal Execution: Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of investments, including drafting investment memos, conducting market research, and coordinating with legal and financial advisors.
3. Portfolio Management: Collaborate with senior team members to monitor and manage existing portfolio companies, including tracking financial performance, evaluating growth opportunities, and participating in board meetings.
4. Environmental Impact Assessment: Evaluate and quantify the environmental impact of potential investments and develop strategies to enhance sustainability and mitigate risks.
5. Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging opportunities in the environmental sector, providing insights and recommendations to the team.

The ideal candidate would bring:

• 2 years of M&A investment banking experience.
• Willingness to be based in Washington DC.
