Position Qualifications:

• Collects, analyzes, and triages new workflow and functionality requests, and helps to prioritize critical changes in consultation with team members
• Identify opportunities for streamlining business processes and improving the user experience
• Collect operations and clinical requirements, develop business requirements and workflow documents (technical and lay), and lead requirements signoff sessions
• Plan, coordinate, perform, and support functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and test script writing
• Develop training curriculums based on user position and attendant workflows
• Deliver training via in-person (primary), web, and in-servicing methods
• Knowledge of adult learning theory
• Develop training materials: manuals, PowerPoints, quick guides and cards, videos, and asynchronous training modules (e.g., Adobe Captivate, etc.)
• Ability to synthesize and explain complicated technical, clinical, and business concepts in simple language, both verbally and in writing
• Collaborates with the clinical educator and clinical applications team to determine impact of new initiatives, and ensures alignment with long-term strategic objectives
• Serves as the first escalation point beyond Helpdesk for Cerner and other clinical application support

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

Cerner Millennium knowledge (Level 1/2 support)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Technical training and writing experience
• Bachelor Degree in computer science, information systems or related field
• Minimum four (4) years of IT experience in a complex health care environment, preferably in ambulatory care
• IT related experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run clinical and business systems
• Clinical and Business Analysis experience
