Job Description

Disaronno International CA Regional Account Manager

The Regional Account Manager leads Disaronno’s retail initiatives through coordinating regional call points, division sales, marketing functions, and the wholesaler network. This position ascertains the Disaronno opportunities with his/her regional call points and takes responsibility for collaborating with corporate and/or divisional marketing and sales functions to exploit these opportunities.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of various tools, such as: post and pre-promotional analysis, schematic distribution and shelf space opportunities, category validator account strategy, and field sales reporting.
  • Maintain and adhere to the National Account Processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Directors and Area Managers the integration of regional retail/on-premises initiatives to assure effective wholesaler execution.
  • Perform the processes necessary to sell the Disaronno portfolio through the Regional off-premises chain market and select Regional OP Chains
  • Plan trimester marketing programs and monthly brand priorities for Disaronno field sales and key wholesalers.
  • Develop and manage individual retail annual business plans for each call point, including the identification of the account’s SWOT, distribution gaps, and promotional opportunities.
  • Fully understand the goals and objectives of Regional Accounts and their competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Identify qualitative and quantitative training necessary to plan and communicate portfolio strategy through the three-tier distribution system.
  • Establish and maintain an effective call point schedule based on priority accounts for the region.
  • Work with Sales team to create regional pricing capabilities and wholesaler execution reporting.
  • Develop department administrative capabilities to communicate programs to all constituents, maintain competitive ad activity database, create, and distribute AC Nielsen/IRI reports.
  • Coordinate necessary communication with Wholesaler chain team to help penetrate and execute retail/on-premises initiatives with Chain universe.


Reporting Relationship:

  • Position reports directly to the VP of National Accounts


Skills/Competencies/Education:


Education:

  • A Bachelor Degree is required


Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience to include Retail Regional Account experience.
  • Experience handling the unique needs of chain clients across large geographies and a fragmented distribution network.
  • A minimum of which 2 years’ experience with direct wholesale management.


Technical competencies:

  • Ability to navigate hierarchal database to access and analyze store level information.
  • Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrate understanding of the category management process and technology.
  • Written and verbal communication skills necessary to convey information to all constituents.
  • Ability to understand and leverage syndicated data such as Nielsen and IRI


Territory:

  • Managing the following accounts (more TBD)- Affiliated, United, Woodman’s Tonys Finer Food, Petes Fresh Market, Caseys General Store, Festival, Sendiks, Piggly Wiggly, Kawalski, Cub Foods, CoBurns, Haskells, etc.
  • Covering the following states- IL, WI, and MN (Travel Required)
