Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 / year

Description

As a Buyer/Planner at Impulse, you will work with engineering, supply chain, and production to support all purchasing demands at Impulse Space to aid the design, and manufacturing of spacecraft. You will be responsible for procuring & planning for vehicle hardware, capital equipment, facility demands & developmental growth of our products.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels against demand & consumption
• Coordinate receipts, purchase orders, and invoices to drive accurate accounting for our business
• Create and maintain demand and planning signals to order parts based on lead time and release process
• Manage forecasting of parts from multiple teams and disciplines through numerous suppliers to meet schedule
• Manage quoting and PO issuance for numerous commodity part types
• Onboard and manage suppliers
• Work with design & manufacturing engineers to populate and maintain the bill of materials
• Work daily with vendor-base to monitor progress, maintain schedule and work to resolve delays as a team

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years' demonstrated experience working with ERP or inventory systems
• 2+ years' experience procuring and managing vendor relations
• Bachelors' degree in supply chain, engineering or related field

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Understanding of manufacturing processes related to mechanical components
• Demonstrated experience building dashboard tools to automate repetitive daily tasks
• 4+ years' working in purchasing, contract negotiations, material, production planning, or master production scheduling within a production/manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience using SQL

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
