Who were looking for:
TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Planner to join our manufacturing team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Communicate manufacturing priorities for material preparation, tooling preparation, and other manufacturing support roles.
- Support other planners including internal and external groups in working as part of one team to accomplish one goal, ensuring success for the organization.
- Take part in reviews of planned vs actual Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to mitigate future shortcomings. Creatively discuss failures and constructively critique workflows to avoid obstacles and challenges that affect our ability to exceed expectations.
- Create and maintain the manufacturing plan through forecasting, daily production scheduling, and reporting. Production should be structured to maximize throughput and minimize idle time. Requires the ability to create a process flow vision and translate that vision to a detailed and structured plan for multiple work centers, the ability to foresee upcoming obstacles, and a creative mind to overcome challenges to meet the required product deliveries.
- Input and maintain accurate transactional requirements for manufactured components associated with TRD ERP systems. (Currently OnePlan & Syspro)
- Be responsible and accountable for production parts throughout the entire manufacturing process to meet or exceed due dates.
- Maintain the TRD manufacturing timeline through prompt and open communication to internal and external groups to assure daily, weekly, monthly, etc., production targets are achieved.
- Always work with an open mind and open eyes to develop and implement lean methodology. Participate in Kaizen events and present solutions to improve our processes.
- Promptly communicate any deviations that impact our ability to deliver parts on-time to all internal manufacturing groups (within Fischer), as well as external departments (Baker). Deliver reliable updates to internal and external groups with expected due dates.
- Configure TRD automation cell to run approved production schedule across various shifts and weekends without interference or modification. Requires knowledge of multiple stock code manufacturing operations, cycle times, and unique characteristics, along with the ability to schedule multiple parts through select work centers with variable capacity.
- Coordinate with Supervisor, Production Control and Supervisor, Manufacturing Shop to assure daily production schedule is being followed and is running efficiently. Collaborate to assure fixturing and tooling is assembled and available in-sync with the production schedule.
- Participate in creation of detailed (but macro view) long term machine manufacturing plan, graphically showing forecasted capacity consumption for a consistent 12 month rolling demand period. Complete weekly updates to facilitate periodic presentations for strategic planning.
What you’ll bring:
- Proficient Excel, ERP / MRP experience
- Minimum five years’ experience with production scheduling in a CNC environment.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Added bonus if you have:
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinker with experience dissecting performance data and participation in definition of Kaizen opportunities.
- Experience in a motorsports manufacturing environment.
- BA / BS Degree preferably in Production Operations / Supply Chain Analysis
- Proven self-driven work ethic and teamwork experience with leading groups with diverse experience, education, and responsibility.
- Ability to identify kaizen opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to accept direction, follow through and provide quality feedback.

The annual base salary range for this position is
