The Specialist CIO Archetype in WPP IT are the information technology partner for the Specialist & Public Relations Agencies, Hogarth and all of WPPs Corporate Functions. Within these areas of WPP, the Specialist CIO Archetype is accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end IT change delivery, and managing the technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.

The Global People Team service the HR needs for WPP's ~120,000 employees and ~80,000 freelancers. We are looking for Global Business Partners to support the Global Strategic Business Partner (People & HQ) and lead the WPP IT relationships with senior People leaders to shape and deliver their short to long-term technology strategies across areas such as Learning, Recruiting, Employee Benefits Administration, Employee Experience and Communications, etc.

What you'll be doing:

You will support the Global Strategic Partner with leading technology for the Global Team. This new role will partner with WPP's senior People leaders and their teams on their journey to enhance and standardise colleague experience and to consolidate People services into shared Service Centres and integrated technology platforms.

You will help to establish a forward-thinking and multi-year technology strategy, that drives innovation, differentiation and simplification.

Key activities include driving and overseeing the delivery of strategic technology efforts :

• Own and manage strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, representing their business within WPP IT and vice versa.
• Lead IT Business Partnering within defined areas of the Global People Team for the Global Strategic Business Partner.
• Capture and shape business demand for new or changed products and services in their corporate function – ensuring their needs are considered and proposals are shaped, sized, aligned and prioritised.
• Liaise with the Specialist Archetype Portfolio Lead – and relevant supporting WPP IT functions – to collate, size and align technology demand in support of value-based outcomes, engaging back with stakeholders on WPP IT prioritisation decisions.
• Defining and driving the IT components of strategic global programs to deploy learning management systems, talent acquisition platforms, contingent worker platforms, tools that enhance the employee experience, as well as Workday HCM integrations.
• Enabling a multi-year redesign of the technology stack in support of WPP People's operating model, moving core employee support processes into Global Shared Services centres; and

You will work with the People Leadership teams within WPP and be the voice of technology and their strategic technology partner.

You will have had a similar role in another company or be ready to step into this role because your experience means you're prepared for the challenges of leading technology for the Global People Team of the world's largest marketing services organisation.

• Senior stakeholder relationship management and planning capability;
• Experience in bringing an organisation on a change journey; and
• Experience working in an agency or consulting environment where People and Talent are truly the assets
• Developing data-driven insights, analysis and strategic advice;
• Demand management – qualifying, shaping & sizing solution concepts, plans;
• Portfolio or programme management experience;
• Corporate function business knowledge and experience;
• Experience in developing business or functional strategic plans and roadmaps;
• Developing portfolio plans, budgeting and investment cases, and value realisation activity;
• Knowledge of change management and business adoption of digital solutions;
