We are looking for a highly self-motivated Business Operations & Financial Analyst to join our team. The Business Operations & Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations and financial functions of our organization. This position will collaborate with various departments to optimize processes, ensure financial efficiency, and contribute to overall business growth. This is a unique opportunity to join our early team and pioneer the discovery of a new generation of therapeutic interventions for cancer.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including financial statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide recommendations based on analysis to improve financial performance and identify areas of cost savings.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct data analysis to support decision-making processes. Extract and analyze relevant financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Budgeting and Planning: Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets and financial plans. Support the budgeting process by gathering relevant financial data, preparing financial models, and providing recommendations to align with strategic objectives.
- Financial Operations: Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to facilitate financial transactions, including accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and maintain financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and communicate key insights to management.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks. Support the implementation of internal controls, compliance procedures, and best practices to safeguard company assets.
- Strategic Support: Drive strategic initiatives that seamlessly align with the company’s overarching vision and objectives through interdisciplinary teamwork. Create clear and consistent content for both internal and external communications to effectively convey key messages.
- Business Operations Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, and implement effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong financial analysis skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in finance, business operations, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, ERP systems)
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
