As a Senior Manager in Business Planning and Operations, you’ll operate as the Chief of Staff for senior leaders in one or more business units in our American Funds Service Group. You are a keen observer who regularly identifies unique trends that you proactively share and identify solutions or recommendations. In this role you’ll ensure business groups are operating at optimal performance by directing our service group’s full scope of strategic planning such as operating smartly and an enhanced client service experience.

You’ll collaborate with senior business leaders in our project office and global finance business, among others. You consciously prioritize and structure your communication in a way that will ultimately influence your audience. You will deliberately advocate and synthesize diverse perspectives to align teams on a concerted outcome. You are talented in socializing anticipated change and leveraging your organizational agility. You’ll manage our long-term direction, goal setting, volume planning and staffing forecast.

You’ll coordinate and facilitate the planning, creation and monitoring of our business unit volumes and budgets. You have specific examples of when you’ve taken calculated risks, anticipated challenges and opportunities, weighed competing priorities, considered resource limitations, and ultimately focused on executing the vision that mattered most. You have extensive experience managing long term projects.
