Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence Manager to lead our dynamic team in managing enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and reporting platforms. In this role, you will spearhead the efforts to deliver top-tier data and reporting solutions across all departments. As a pivotal member of the IT Data and Integration team, you'll report to the Director of IT Data and Integration, ensuring alignment with established corporate standards and guidelines. This high-visibility position will involve regular interaction with business leaders, driving the team's strategic direction and innovative solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with stakeholders and business leaders to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and outline team roadmaps.

Lead the architecture, design, development, and support of exceptional data, analytics, reporting, and integration solutions using Microsoft's BI Platform: SQL Server database, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SharePoint, and BI/data visualization tools.

Develop an in-depth understanding of a wide range of data resources and determine the appropriate usage for each context.

Provide expertise in data warehouse systems, system capabilities, and emerging technology trends.

Manage both onshore and offshore teams of Data Integration Engineers.

Establish and enforce standards and conventions for data warehousing, analytics, and ETL systems.

Communicate project status to the Director of IT Data and Integration and other IT Leadership.

Drive the adoption of self-service analytics tools and reporting environments.

Define and manage SLAs for all data sets and production processes.

Directly manage and nurture a team comprising Business Intelligence Leads, Developers, and Architects.

Shape the strategy for accurate and consistent data sources, considering cross-functional requirements.

Continuously self-educate to enhance support for local operations and branch operations' technology systems.

Make pragmatic recommendations for system and process improvements.

Act as a thought leader and catalyst for data-focused initiatives.

Ensure thorough documentation of configurations, system features, and processes.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization and technology standards.

Uphold and communicate adherence to IT standards.

Required Experience and Skills:

Over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting data and reporting solutions.

Minimum of 5 years managing data warehousing, reporting, and integration teams.

Solid grasp of RDBMS, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.

Proficiency in SQL language, with experience in platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and/or DB2.

Demonstrated ability to utilize relational databases and write complex queries using ANSI-SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), with a deep understanding of underlying data.

Strong knowledge of building data pipelines, near real-time integration patterns, and relevant technologies.

Expertise in studying data sources, defining, analyzing, and validating data objects, and recognizing relationships among data objects.

Adaptability to new tools and technologies.

Enthusiasm for comprehending complex data sets and aiding the team in deriving business-driving insights.

Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with the ability to break down complex requirements into milestones, features, and user stories.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Proficient in data and reporting platforms such as SQL Data warehousing, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI, Dell Boomi, etc.

Experience in industrial distribution and familiarity with the retail and distribution industry are advantageous.

Exposure to working with cloud/on-prem and hybrid cloud solutions.
